Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Server Repair Technician to join our team at VSSI LLC Staffing Services. As a Server Repair Technician, you will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and replacing parts on servers sent to our facility for diagnosis and repair.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect, test, and diagnose servers to identify issues and determine the necessary repairs.
  • Replace parts as needed to ensure servers are functioning properly.
  • Conduct and analyze server stress tests to identify potential issues.
  • Document all symptoms, test results, and parts replaced in our shop floor tool.
  • Collaborate with other teams, including motherboard repair, testing, and inspections personnel.
  • Provide backup support for quality control, inspection, and motherboard testing.
  • Maintain accurate records of parts consumption.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
  • Maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams, including warehouse, shipping, and receiving.
  • Follow established processes for system and parts management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent technical experience; certifications in server support and architecture are desired.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and diagnosing servers; proficiency with computer tools, such as email, spreadsheets, and call tracking or shop repair tools.
  • Experience with replacing parts on servers and server configuration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document errors and repairs.
  • Industry experience in a PC or server environment is preferred.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
