Job Overview

Summary: Develop and implement a strategic sales plan for designated Fabricator, OEM, and CM accounts with a focus on client retention, market penetration, and demand generation initiatives to achieve or surpass set sales and profit targets.   • Identifying, tracking, and pursuing business opportunities within the assigned account base and geographic area.
  • Managing account activities to ensure optimal product penetration and volume growth.
  • Visiting accounts within the territory to engage with current and potential clients, presenting the company's value proposition to uncover and secure business opportunities.
  • Coordinating internal and external resources to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Demonstrating products and services using appropriate sales and marketing materials.
  • Creating and delivering professional business proposals to both existing and prospective clients.
  • Preparing and submitting strategic account call itineraries and reports as necessary.
  • Collaborating with inside sales teams to align account activities and strategies.
  • Building strong, productive relationships with suppliers and coordinating product presentations with them.
  • Updating customer profiles and utilizing information to effectively manage the territory.
  • Developing and nurturing relationships with key contacts within assigned accounts, including purchasing, engineering, and upper management.
  • Actively seeking customer feedback and assisting in resolving any issues that arise.
  • Participating in select trade shows as required.
  • Submitting business expense reports as needed.
This position requires access to information or hardware subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). To qualify, candidates must be U.S. Persons as defined by ITAR, which includes U.S. Citizens, U.S. Permanent Residents, Political Asylees, or Refugees.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from an accredited four-year institution or four years of relevant sales/marketing experience, or a combination of education and experience. Experience in technical sales or electronic component distribution is preferred, with fasteners experience being a plus.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with sales tracking software, particularly CRM systems, is advantageous.

Frequent travel is required.

Additional Skills: Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities, effective time management, strong customer service skills, and proficient verbal and written communication. Ability to analyze sales data and trends to identify opportunities, negotiate effectively, and work independently with minimal supervision. Financial acumen to understand sales profitability and opportunities is essential.
