Job OverviewPosition Summary

This role is supported by the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager to ensure exceptional customer service and provide personalized attention to residents. Our Maintenance Technicians play a crucial role in addressing and fulfilling the service needs of our residents while maintaining operational efficiency within the community.

Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with daily operations
  • Employ troubleshooting skills to address a variety of residential service requests promptly and professionally
  • Prepare rental units by executing repairs in HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, building exteriors, and appliances
  • Report any unresolved maintenance issues to the Maintenance Supervisor
  • Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs as needed
  • Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance
  • Utilize various hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing tasks
  • Complete other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in plumbing, carpentry, drywall, HVAC, and appliance repair
  • Commitment to exceeding customer expectations and building strong relationships
  • Demonstrate thoroughness, accuracy, and organization in task completion
  • Ability to work on-call hours as required
  • Skilled in prioritizing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
  • Proactive team player; dependable and responsive
  • A natural problem solver; decisive and capable of working independently
Physical Requirements and Work Environment

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move heavier items as necessary. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and explosives. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but there may be instances requiring ear protection. The employee may also be frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
