Quality Assurance Program Engineer

Job Overview:
The Quality Assurance Engineer will work under the supervision of the Quality Manager within the Quality Department.

This role is pivotal in recognizing, establishing, overseeing, and tracking all quality-related responsibilities, requirements, and budgets associated with designated contracts and programs.

The Quality Assurance Engineer will serve as the primary contact for all quality-related issues concerning the contract and program.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Identifying, assigning, and overseeing quality requirements for components and assemblies sourced from Vendors/Suppliers on assigned programs.

2. Monitoring the performance of assigned programs, including supplier performance, and facilitating corrective and preventive actions to achieve necessary improvements.

3. Coordinating corrective and preventive actions with customer representatives and internal management.
4. Conducting special investigations as needed, resulting in comprehensive reports suitable for submission to Senior Management.

5. Delivering briefings and presentations of findings as required.
6. Presenting quality-related data, investigation summaries, trends, and significant issues at various compliance and program review meetings as necessary.
7. Actively participating in the planning, coordination, and execution of Military and/or FAA Certification efforts.

8. Leading or participating in quality-related projects and initiatives; may also be required to perform Quality Control or Procurement Quality activities when primary inspection personnel are unavailable.

9. Occasional travel and overtime may be required.

Qualifications:


A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related Technical Field with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in Aerospace Quality is required.

(An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered).
Experience in program quality engineering.
Experience with initial contract planning, contract requirements review, and oversight.

Experience in methodically investigating quality issues, ultimately resulting in reports that identify containment, root cause, and corrective and preventive actions.

Excellent technical writing, oral communication, and presentation skills for reporting and briefing Customers and Senior Leadership.
Proficiency in MS Office products.
Familiarity with quality and aerospace industry standards (ISO9001:2015, AS9100D, AS9110C, CMMI, etc.).
Ability to obtain a Common Access Card for Government systems access.
Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance from the U.S. Government, which requires U.S. Citizenship.

Preferred Additional Skills:
- Active Secret Clearance
- Experience with Military and FAA Certification efforts is preferred.
- Experience in Inspection, Corrosion, and Repair Reporting
- Experience in Material Review Board, developing dispositions for nonconforming materials
- Experience in Product Quality Deficiency Reporting (PQDR)
- Understanding of Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) 8D Methodology
- Lean Six Sigma
- Familiarity with DCMA INST 8210 requirements and oversight
- Aircraft maintenance experience.
