The Medical Documentation Specialist is responsible for collaborating with diverse teams to streamline documentation processes, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and support quality improvement initiatives.

  • Oversee the organization, storage, and retrieval of documentation files, ensuring they meet regulatory and accreditation standards
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to develop and standardize documentation procedures and templates
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of policies and procedures related to documentation practices
  • Conduct regular audits of documentation to ensure completeness and compliance with healthcare regulations
  • Monitor and inform providers of missing or incomplete documentation on a daily basis, and escalate when necessary

This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000 per year.
