Low Voltage Installation Technician

We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Installation Technician to join our team at Allied Universal Technology Services. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for installing and testing electronic control systems, including door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low voltage communication, and fire alarm systems.
Key Responsibilities- Install and test electronic control systems, ensuring they meet local, county, state, and/or federal codes and any licensing and/or insurance requirements.
- Run electrical wiring in crawl spaces, including drilling, trenching, and aerial runs.
- Connect field devices and conceal wires.
- Test new system installations to ensure they are functioning properly.
- Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned, such as job-site clean-up.
- Overnight travel may be required on an as-need basis.
- High School Degree, Vocational School, or equivalent is required.
- 0 to 2 years of experience in the physical security, fire alarm, or low voltage communication industry installing field devices.
- Military veterans are encouraged to apply, especially those with experience as an electronics technician or aviation technician.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external customers.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Must be detail-oriented and organized.
- Ability to obtain proper state licensing once hired (Low Voltage D license, Alarm Installer Lic. etc.).
- Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to complete time entry from home on a daily basis via the Internet.
- Medical, dental, vision, basic life, AD&D, and disability insurance.
- Enrollment in our company's 401(k) or Supplemental Income Plan, subject to eligibility requirements.
- Eight paid holidays annually, five sick days, and four personal days.
- Vacation time offered at an accrual rate of 3.08 hours biweekly. Unused vacation is only paid out where required by law.
