Job SummaryThe Dialysis Registered Nurse is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment. This includes preparing dialysis machines, performing hemodialysis treatments, and monitoring patients during treatment. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and have a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
Responsibilities- Prepare dialysis machines and treatment supplies, ensuring quality standards are met
- Perform hemodialysis treatments according to facility policies and procedures
- Monitor patients during treatment, assessing and communicating changes with physicians and families
- Provide ongoing patient education, training, and health coaching
- Document required patient education efforts
- Facilitate continuity of care with local hospitals
- Lead a small patient care team and contribute to onboarding new staff members
- Accredited nursing degree required
- Dialysis experience not required, but job shadow opportunities available
- DCI provides 3-months of comprehensive training, including classroom group sessions and one-on-one skills training
- Competitive pay range from $35-$45 per hour, depending on nursing and dialysis experience
- Paid 12-week training with preceptor
