About the Role

Astrolab is seeking a Mission Assurance Lead to join our team and oversee the safety and mission success of our LTVS program. This individual will lead the safety and mission assurance team at Astrolab and collaborate with NASA and our Program Manager to ensure compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate among all Astrolab and subcontractor elements to ensure a consistent safety and mission assurance approach across the various members of the team.
  • Collaborate with NASA and our Program Manager to ensure safe implementation of program interfaces and prevent hazards from progressing across system interfaces.
  • Develop and implement analyses, procedures, and protocols for the LTVS program, and serve as a counterpart to NASA leads for Safety and Mission Assurance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or physical sciences.
  • 5+ years' experience in spaceflight programs, preferably in NASA projects and programs.
  • Prior experience in systems engineering, hazard analysis, risk management, fault tree analysis, reliability modeling, probabilistic risk analysis, and mission assurance.
  • Detailed knowledge of NASA's Systems Safety Handbook and Safety Culture Handbook.
Compensation
  • Estimated salary: $140,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience.
