Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) at Residential Services, Inc. (RSI) in the greater Chapel Hill, NC area.


About the Role

As a PCA, you will play a vital role in delivering quality care to adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in a group home setting.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist individuals with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, grooming, and medication administration.
  • Respond to medical or behavioral needs during the day program following established procedures.
  • Foster a positive and empowering atmosphere, encouraging residents to engage in social, recreational, and skill-building activities.
  • Document observations, incidents, and interventions in resident records.
  • Work collaboratively with team members, case managers, healthcare professionals, and families to provide comprehensive care.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment through light housekeeping and safety checks.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with individuals with IDD or in a caregiving role preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse individuals.
  • Calm, patient, and compassionate demeanor in challenging situations.
  • Basic understanding of medical procedures or willingness to learn and follow protocols.
  • Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently.

Salary and Benefits

$14.50 - $16.50 per hour, plus flexible scheduling and competitive pay. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, 403(b) Retirement plan, life, long-term, and short-term disability insurance, paid time off, and weekend pay differentials.
