The Gynecology Oncology Clinic at UNC Cancer Hospital is seeking a Clinical Support Tech II to join their team. As a Clinical Support Tech II, you will be responsible for assisting the professional caregiver in the delivery of patient care, transporting patients and/or equipment, setting up and maintaining patient rooms, and performing a wide range of clerical, transcription, and maintenance tasks.

Job Summary

This per diem position requires a minimum of 12 hours every 2 weeks, with hours of operation from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing excellent patient care and be able to adapt to a quick clinic pace. The Gynecology Oncology Clinic has a strong team who are committed to providing compassionate care to patients and supporting each other as a high-functioning team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assisting physicians and other healthcare providers with routine examinations and procedures
  • Critically reviewing patient care documentation and reporting any significant changes to a registered nurse or physician
  • Providing a variety of clerical tasks, including organizing and prioritizing workload, greeting and directing visitors, and transcribing physician orders
  • Providing clinical support assistance, including cleaning the work area, maintaining office equipment, and troubleshooting common software and hardware problems
  • Providing direct personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and assisting with ambulation

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $22.75 per hour, based on the location and requirements. This position requires a current certification as a Nursing Assistant I and II, as well as Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. The ideal candidate will have one year of clerical or customer service experience and three months of nursing assistant experience.

This is a state position employed by UNC Health Care System with UNC Health benefits.
