Forklift Mechanic Specialist

Work Schedule:Shifts available include 6am – 4:30pm (4/10s Monday through Thursday or 4/10s Tuesday through Friday) or 7am – 3:30pm (5/8s Monday through Friday).
Key Responsibilities:- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Crown and various other brands of lift trucks.
- Rebuild internal combustion engines and other lift truck components, including electric motors, cylinders, brake systems, electrical systems, drive units, mast assemblies, and frame weldments.
- Conduct safety operational tests and complete necessary repair documentation.
- Perform pre-delivery inspections and repairs on new equipment, making adjustments and handling warranty repairs as needed.
- Install or remove lift attachments and accessories such as clamps/slips, sheets/side shifts, lights, and audible devices, as required. Manage hydraulic or electrical adaptations.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Candidates should be able to read and understand wiring diagrams, troubleshoot issues, utilize test meters, and apply basic math skills. Familiarity with basic computer functions is essential.
Physical requirements include standing for 6 hours, walking for 1 hour, and sitting for 1 hour during an 8-hour shift. Frequent bending, stooping, pushing/pulling, and reaching above shoulder level are necessary, along with the ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. with assistance. Candidates must possess good vision, hearing, and the ability to distinguish colors, as well as safely operate lift trucks. Proficiency with common hand tools is also required. Be prepared for potential exposure to varying temperatures, dust, solvents, fuels, battery acid, and noise.
