Position Summary

Walsh University's Division of Mathematics and Sciences is actively seeking qualified candidates for a faculty role within its undergraduate Computer Science/Digital Technology/Information Science program. Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Delivering 24 credit hours of instruction per academic year while engaging in relevant professional scholarship.
  • Assisting in the enhancement and restructuring of the current computer science curriculum.
  • Participating in departmental planning and operational activities.
  • Fulfilling appropriate duties on University committees and contributing to general service within the University.

Qualifications

Educational Background: A minimum of a Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is required.

Professional Experience:

  • Preferred experience in college-level teaching.
  • Familiarity with contemporary computer science applications.
  • Experience with both hardware and software skills is advantageous.
  • Industry experience is preferred, particularly in application development.
  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence applications is a plus.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Professional demeanor with the ability to engage positively with students, staff, and faculty.
  • High emotional intelligence and a constructive attitude are essential.
  • Capability to conduct interactive teaching, effectively utilize technology in the classroom, and teach in various formats (in-person, online, asynchronous, or hybrid).
