Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at Omni Hotels. As a key member of our hotel operations, the Executive Chef will be responsible for managing all aspects of our kitchen operations, including menu planning, food production, and staff management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the efficient and effective operation of the kitchen, ensuring high-quality food production and minimizing operating costs.
  • Develop and implement menu designs in conjunction with the Director of Operations, ensuring alignment with the hotel's brand standards and customer preferences.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing manager and hotel finance team to establish and maintain control of food costs, inventory management, and purchasing procedures.
  • Lead a dynamic culinary team, providing training, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure staff are equipped to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Conduct regular inspections of food service sections to ensure adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local suppliers, farmers, and food vendors to source high-quality ingredients and support the hotel's commitment to sustainability.
  • Stay up-to-date with local and international culinary trends, ensuring the hotel's food offerings remain competitive and appealing to guests.
  • Assist in the promotion of in-house sales activities, such as culinary festivals, chef specialties, and culinary competitions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations or hotel management.
Requirements
  • 3 years of experience in an Executive Chef or similar role, with a proven track record of success in managing high-volume kitchen operations.
  • Associate's degree or equivalent in culinary arts or a related field.
  • Excellent knowledge of current culinary trends, menu planning, and food cost control.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of culinary professionals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Valid California Food Manager certification.
What We Offer

Omni Hotels offers a competitive salary range of $125,000 to $145,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
