Culinary Instructor

The Culinary Instructor will be responsible for delivering hands-on culinary training to students, adhering to HTA's curriculum and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to diverse learning environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging culinary lessons, incorporating hands-on training and interactive discussions.
- Collaborate with the Director of Food and Beverage Training to develop curriculum and teaching materials.
- Provide feedback and guidance to students, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assist in the development of culinary programs, ensuring alignment with HTA's objectives and industry standards.
- Represent HTA in the community, fostering relationships with industry partners and promoting the academy's mission.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in culinary arts or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Executive Chef in a fine dining environment.
- Ability to teach in a bilingual setting (English and Spanish).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Valid driver's license and ability to commute to HTA Headquarters and industry partners.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a culinary instructor or educator.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation codes.
- Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
