The Director of Programming is a public service position responsible for developing curriculum, training, and networking opportunities for new and existing small businesses in Bulloch, Chatham, and surrounding counties. This role reports to the Deputy Executive Director of the Business Innovation Group at Georgia Southern University.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business plans, market feasibility, financial viability, operations management, and legal structures to educate clients and make recommendations.
- Develop and deliver business training programs tailored to the needs of the business community served.
- Perform administrative tasks, including documenting activities, to ensure client service and timely response to inquiries.
- Act as an advocate for business development, expansion, and retention in the area.
- Engage in public relations activities, such as speeches and presentations, to promote economic growth.
- Collaborate with private sector businesses and other economic development units to further the economic well-being of Georgia's citizens.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field and three or more years of related work experience. A Master's Degree in a business-related field is preferred.
Salary and Benefits
The proposed salary for this position is $60,617 - $77,000, paid on a monthly basis. This is an exempt position.
