Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Senior System Technologist. This role involves the optimization and maintenance of sophisticated, mission-critical communication systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimize and support intricate communication systems that are vital for mission success.
  • Deliver technical assistance for specialized systems and product applications, including troubleshooting software-driven electronics and enhancing RF and Broadband architecture.
  • Program, configure, and document complex communication systems while ensuring optimal performance.
  • Provide regular updates on activities and achievements.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to guarantee system reliability, focusing on trend analysis and thorough documentation.
  • Develop innovative solutions for challenging technical issues encountered during system implementation and upgrades.
  • Engage in continuous training to stay updated with the latest technologies and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, and Sales teams to design and implement advanced communication systems that meet customer expectations.
  • Work with both local and remote teams to manage complex tasks related to mission-critical communications.
  • Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours support and emergency response.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely; sponsorship is not available.
  • Ability to obtain necessary background clearance as required by government clients.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong understanding of wired communication systems, including LAN and WAN, along with experience in network installation and maintenance.
  • Experience in installing server hardware and software, with the ability to troubleshoot related issues.
  • Extensive knowledge of RF systems, including transmitters, receivers, and antenna networks.
  • Expertise in telephony and dedicated data circuits, as well as packet switching techniques.
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and Google Workspace applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with customers and internal teams.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Able to resolve customer issues efficiently in high-pressure situations.
  • ETA International CETa certification or the ability to obtain it within six months of hire.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with Juniper networks (JNCIA preferred but not mandatory).
  • Knowledge of Nokia MPLS.
  • CompTIA Network+ and Security+ certifications.
  • Understanding of firewalls, MPLS, and the OSI model.
  • Experience with server hardware, virtual machines, and both Microsoft and Linux-based servers.
  • Familiarity with Motorola ecosystems, including Astro Master Sites and GTR8000 ESS.
