Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Optimize and support complex mission-critical communication systems
  • Provide technical support for specialized systems and product applications, including troubleshooting of software-driven electronics, provisioning of communication system infrastructure, and performance optimization of RF and Broadband architecture
  • Program, configure, optimize, test, and document complex communications systems
  • Provide weekly reports of activities and accomplishments
  • Perform preventative maintenance routines to ensure proper system operation, with a focus on trend analysis and documentation of results
  • Develop solutions to difficult technical problems encountered as part of system implementation, upgrades, or support issues
  • Continuously train in the latest technologies and troubleshooting techniques
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, and Sales personnel to effectively design, implement, optimize, and cutover advanced communication systems that meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Work with local and remote teams to accomplish complex tasks for mission-critical communications
  • Must be able to work on-call with the local team(s) on rotation, for after-hours support and storm response
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in one of the following: LMR, RF Systems, Radio Frequency, Radio Communications, Wired/Wireless Communication Systems, Networking Equipment, Motorola equipment, Military experience, or IT
  • Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customers
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position
Preferred Knowledge/Skills
  • Juniper networks (JNCIA preferred but not required)
  • Nokia MPLS
  • CompTIA Network+
  • CompTIA Security+
  • ETA CETa or better
  • Motorola R56 Installer
  • Knowledge of Firewalls, MPLS, and OSI model
  • Knowledge of server hardware, virtual machines, Microsoft and Linux-based servers
