Position Overview:
The After Stay Clinician plays a vital role in providing support to children and families during and following their time in a Children's Crisis Respite program. This position is essential in delivering family therapy during the stay and for a period of up to 90 days post-discharge.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct clinical assessments and maintain thorough documentation.
  • Engage in the formulation and execution of treatment plans.
  • Collaborate closely with the Crisis Respite Clinician, who leads the treatment team during the youth's stay.
  • Deliver family therapy both during the youth's stay and after discharge.
  • Provide individual therapy sessions throughout the stay and post-discharge.
  • Offer therapeutic support during youth crises.
  • Network with all relevant individuals and agencies associated with the youth, including participation in inter- and intra-agency meetings.
  • Share pertinent treatment and casework information with respite staff.

Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Social Work or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current New York State licensure in Social Work or another mental health profession.
  • Commitment to maintaining professional standing in the field, including identifying areas for further training and discussing these needs with supervisors.
  • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effectively manage the administrative demands of the role within established timelines.
  • Foster productive and professional relationships with all agency staff, children, parents, and the community.
  • Adhere to the highest ethical standards and conduct.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and demonstrate regular and punctual attendance.

Essential Job Qualifications:
  • Physical ability to lift specified weights without assistance.
  • Capability to provide crisis de-escalation techniques.
  • Able to sit, squat, crouch, and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift arms overhead and navigate stairs multiple times throughout the day.
