Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Youth Development Specialist to provide person-centered services and support to children and their families in our Children's Home and Community-Based services, and OPWDD services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with children with developmental disabilities, acquired brain injuries, or mental health diagnoses, and experience in implementing behavioral support plans and guidelines.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and assisting children with activities of daily living (ADL)
  • Implementing behavioral support plans and guidelines
  • Offering choices and opportunities for children to engage within the community
  • Monitoring and maintaining the safety of children while in the home, community, and during transportation

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED, required
  • Experience working with children with developmental disabilities, acquired brain injuries, or mental health diagnoses, preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, required
  • Basic word processing and email skills, required
