Job Description

The Facilities Maintenance Mechanic plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. This position is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks, including operating and repairing facilities equipment, and providing support for all production areas and support groups.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine tasks in support of plant maintenance in assigned areas.
  • Work with other mechanics to achieve desired results.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks with detailed instructions under close supervision.
  • Change filters, bearings on HVAC equipment, and replace large motors and pumps as needed.
  • Obtain and record systems readings and equipment operating conditions.
  • Perform housekeeping tasks within the maintenance area and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain material inventories and spare parts areas.
  • Provide support for other mechanics, including setting up equipment for maintenance operations, and providing labor as directed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent trade school experience.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Basic electrical and mechanical fundamentals.
  • Strong ability to read, understand, and interpret technical documents and manuals.
  • Ability to create and maintain operating and training documents and manuals.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Good troubleshooting ability and ability to use necessary tools and equipment.
  • Ability to lift and handle up to 100 pounds safely.
