Overview:

The Harvard Coop has been a cornerstone of the community since 1882, providing a unique retail experience as the oldest collegiate bookstore in the nation. Our mission is to deliver essential literature, course materials, and a diverse range of merchandise to a vibrant academic community.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers, addressing inquiries and facilitating the purchase of products and services.
  • Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor by shelving, arranging, and cleaning merchandise.
  • Process sales transactions efficiently, handling cash, credit, and other payment methods.
  • For temporary roles, candidates should be available for a flexible schedule, including weekends and various shifts.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent movement throughout the store to access different departments and products.
  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting and physical activities such as reaching, kneeling, and climbing.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
  • Energetic and friendly demeanor with excellent communication skills.
