Job Overview

Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a highly skilled Water Resources Engineer to join our team in Nashville or Knoxville, TN office. As an Assistant Water Engineer, you will play a key role in assisting with water and/or wastewater conveyance and facilities, planning, and design projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of technical reports and documents
  • Assisting with asset management tasks and performing design calculations
  • Preparation of construction documents and specifications
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables meet client expectations
Requirements
  • 0-4 years of experience in water/wastewater engineering
  • Ability to work full-time hours and maintain a flexible schedule as needed
  • Hold an EIT certificate or be able to obtain within 12 months
  • Minimum educational requirement: BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering; Master's Degree preferred
  • Proficiency in English and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in common computer software, including Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and CADD
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with hydraulic modeling and other software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
