As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide physical therapy services to patients with impairments, functional limitations, or disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement prescribed treatment programs according to organizational and professional guidelines.
  • Modify measurement skills based on patients' age, medical condition, and cultural background.
  • Communicate patient progress and status with the Physical Therapist to adjust patient goals, treatment plans, and procedures.
  • Ensure complete, timely, and accurate documentation in accordance with facility and practice guidelines.
  • Orient, train, and mentor therapy and health care students to achieve stated performance expectations.
  • Complete additional department, organization, or network activities per established objectives.
  • Uphold the PCC Organizational Values of Innovation, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience for Advanced Clinician.
  • Licensed (and in good standing) as a physical therapist assistant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • BLS required.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Basic skills in math and computer science.
  • Appropriate knowledge of physical therapy treatment techniques to manage the rehabilitation population.
  • Effective problem-solving skills for physical therapy treatment planning and execution.
  • Basic skills in teaching others and self-assessment of learning needs, strengths, and professional goals.
  • Safely execute all job responsibilities without risking injury to self or patients.
  • Computer proficiency required, with a preference for Microsoft Office applications.
  • Maintain a variable work schedule depending on hospital/program needs to provide patient care.
