Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide physical therapy services to patients with impairments, functional limitations, or disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement prescribed treatment programs according to organizational and professional guidelines.
- Modify measurement skills based on patients' age, medical condition, and cultural background.
- Communicate patient progress and status with the Physical Therapist to adjust patient goals, treatment plans, and procedures.
- Ensure complete, timely, and accurate documentation in accordance with facility and practice guidelines.
- Orient, train, and mentor therapy and health care students to achieve stated performance expectations.
- Complete additional department, organization, or network activities per established objectives.
- Uphold the PCC Organizational Values of Innovation, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence.
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Minimum 2 years of experience for Advanced Clinician.
- Licensed (and in good standing) as a physical therapist assistant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- BLS required.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Basic skills in math and computer science.
- Appropriate knowledge of physical therapy treatment techniques to manage the rehabilitation population.
- Effective problem-solving skills for physical therapy treatment planning and execution.
- Basic skills in teaching others and self-assessment of learning needs, strengths, and professional goals.
- Safely execute all job responsibilities without risking injury to self or patients.
- Computer proficiency required, with a preference for Microsoft Office applications.
- Maintain a variable work schedule depending on hospital/program needs to provide patient care.
