We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist PRN to join our team at HCA Florida University Hospital. As a Medical Technologist PRN, you will play a vital role in providing accurate and timely laboratory testing, ensuring the highest quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform laboratory testing with precision and accuracy, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
  • Assume responsibility for the department in the absence of the supervisor, demonstrating leadership and initiative.
  • Complete all required records and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Perform stat procedures within established turnaround time targets, prioritizing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Correlate and interpret patient results, utilizing good judgment and independent thinking.
  • Review pending logs and result logs, resolving any outstanding workload or communicating with staff relief.
  • Perform quality control procedures, handling problem and critical laboratory specimens and test results.
Requirements:
  • A 2-year/Associate Degree in Medical Technology is required; a 4-year/Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Technologist is preferred.
  • A State of Florida Technologist License is required or the ability to obtain a license during the interview process.
  • Technologist License in one or more clinical specialty areas, including Generalist, Blood bank, Serology, Chemistry, Hematology, and Microbiology.
