Are you a skilled MRI Technologist looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a Travel MRI Technologist to join our team in Greenville, South Carolina.
About the Role:As a Travel MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing MRI diagnostic imaging procedures on patients of all ages. You will work with a team of dedicated professionals to assist in the diagnosis of patient illness.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform MRI diagnostic imaging procedures according to department procedures and protocols
- Locate and record internal elements of the body, and identify any anomalies indicative of disease, injury, or other medically significant conditions
- Adjust equipment and calm patients to eliminate test artifacts
- Monitor patients for potentially dangerous physical and emotional changes
- Evaluate test results for clarity and accuracy
- Review tests with peers and physician
- Inform physicians of preliminary findings as requested according to department procedures
- Distribute completed test results to physicians and service providers
- Prepare diagnostic information for physician interpretation
- Maintain patient charts, enter diagnosis and billing codes, log data into patient information systems, and update file systems for tests performed
- Clean and sterilize equipment and workspace
- Recognize equipment malfunctions and readjust equipment or write referrals for repair
- Instruct patients in pretest preparation, answer questions, and explain procedures
- Comply with Siemens, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures
- Maintain equipment according to Infection Control procedure
- Maintain technical competency through continued education and participation in Siemens training programs
- Administer contrast agents according to site-specific protocols under guidance and approval of site Radiologist
- Maintain current Permits to Practice in all states in which services are performed
- Perform equipment quality checks and troubleshoot problems, calling for service and notifying pertinent team members
- Follow quality assurance guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality
- Perform additional duties as required

Requirements:- Clinical Radiographer background with a minimum of 2 years MRI clinical experience required
- Siemens equipment experience required
- Valid ARRT license, registered in MRI
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to interact with client personnel and team members in an autonomous, responsible, professional, and ethical manner
- Flexibility, reliability, and sound judgment and initiative
