About the Role

Bon Secours is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures according to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Work closely with Radiologists and other physicians to ensure accurate and high-quality imaging results.
  • Apply principles of magnetic resonance safety to minimize risk to patients, self, and others.
  • Confirm the quality and accuracy of all pertinent patient and procedural data.
  • Select proper MRI pulse sequences and scan parameters according to established protocols.
  • Contribute to the training and education of new staff and assist in oversight of MRI students.
  • Provide direct patient care and instructions before, during, and after procedures.
  • Perform IV injections and administer magnetic contrast agents specific to procedures.
  • Troubleshoot equipment during malfunction and report issues to radiology maintenance/supervisor.
Requirements
  • Certification and Registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Diagnostic Radiology with Advanced MRI Registry (MR) required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in MRI department in a hospital setting preferred.
  • EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) experience preferred.
