Purchasing Associate Role Overview

Clean Harbors is seeking a skilled Purchasing Associate to join our team in Norwell, MA. This role involves a variety of administrative, system maintenance, field interface, and purchasing duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain purchasing item master databases and participate in the procurement of supplies.
  • Develop and maintain vendor relationships to ensure optimal pricing and service.
  • Assist with procurement projects and daily parts sourcing.
  • Analyze spend reports to identify trends, price increases, and saving opportunities.
  • Coordinate daily with maintenance planners, inventory coordinators, and director of procurement.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of college or specialized training.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in purchasing or a related field.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines.
