Job Summary

The Clinical Registered Nurse II - BMH Med/Surg Unit is a key member of the interdisciplinary team, responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and promoting a culture of excellence at Centra Health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage patient care to achieve desired outcomes
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Delegate tasks to care providers according to the ANA Principles of Nurse Staffing
  • Think critically and make informed clinical decisions to prioritize patient care
  • Lead and communicate effectively with the team to ensure seamless patient care
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of excellence
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
  • One year of external nursing experience or completion of Nurse Residency Program (NRP)
  • Current, active license as a registered nurse in Virginia or multistate licensure privilege
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) course completion card
