POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Senior Vice President of Product Strategy at IPG Health is responsible for defining and executing the organization's product management vision, ensuring it aligns with corporate goals and market dynamics. This role entails overseeing the product suite, managing resources, controlling budgets, and evaluating project outcomes through established performance metrics. The individual in this position will lead a team, cultivating a culture of excellence and compliance with industry regulations. Key responsibilities include assessing project initiatives, building stakeholder relationships, and driving organizational change initiatives. With a strong emphasis on strategic planning, portfolio oversight, leadership, and effective communication, this role is pivotal in steering successful projects while promoting a collaborative workplace.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Portfolio Oversight: Manage the product portfolio to ensure alignment with strategic objectives, resource distribution, and prioritization.
  • Leadership Development: Recruit, mentor, and guide a team of product managers and coordinators, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous enhancement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and nurture relationships with stakeholders to guarantee project results meet business expectations.

CORE FUNCTIONS:

Strategic Development:

  • Formulate and implement the product management strategy, ensuring it aligns with business aspirations and objectives.
  • Regularly review project portfolios to maintain alignment with shifting business strategies and market trends.

Resource Management:

  • Oversee the product engagement portfolio, ensuring strategic alignment, resource allocation, and prioritization.
  • Optimize resource utilization to facilitate effective project execution.
  • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate project risks while developing contingency strategies.
  • Establish and uphold quality standards and operational processes.
  • Manage project budgets, monitoring financial performance and expenditures.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate project success.
  • Adapt project management methodologies to suit specific project needs.
  • Address project challenges, conflicts, and obstacles in a timely manner.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Team Development:

  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of product managers and coordinators.
  • Invest in the professional development of team members.
  • Anticipate future resource requirements and collaborate with HR.
  • Encourage a culture of ongoing learning and improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, company policies, and industry practices.
  • Utilize project management software and tools effectively.

Project Initiation:

  • Assess project proposals, defining scopes, objectives, and success criteria while securing necessary approvals and resources.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring effective communication.
  • Provide project updates, progress reports, and performance metrics to executive leadership.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and problem-solving within project teams.

Change Leadership:

  • Lead change management initiatives related to projects.
  • Adjust resource allocations as necessary.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Product Management (Required)

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

  • 15+ years in Product Management, encompassing product strategy, roadmap development, feature prioritization, and product launches (Required)
  • 10+ years in Digital/Tech/Agency Environments (Preferred)
  • 5+ years in Leadership Roles (Preferred)

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Expertise in product management, strategic marketing, business strategy, and consulting within the Advertising, Tech, or Life Sciences sectors.
  • Familiarity with technical and scientific aspects of biopharmaceutical advertising.
  • Ability to discuss current and future industry trends credibly.
  • Extensive experience in Digital Production and Product Management.
  • Proven track record in defining and delivering successful digital products and experiences.
  • Strong understanding of UX best practices and collaboration with Experience Design, UX, and Visual teams.
  • Knowledge of technology and emerging trends.
  • Prior management experience with digital agencies and client partners.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Lean Development methodologies.
  • Proficient in making data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in creating clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and project artifacts.
  • Skilled in developing release plans and product roadmaps.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
