We are seeking an experienced event manager to join our team at the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing various events to ensure successful outcomes for the organization and its clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Planning and Coordination: Prepare tailored sponsorship packages, plan, coordinate, and manage all aspects of events to ensure successful outcomes.
- Financial Management: Manage event budgets, including allocating resources and tracking expenses.
- Time Management: Implement effective time management strategies to meet event deadlines.
- Vendor Management: Negotiate and coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver high-quality events.
- Revenue Growth: Upsell event packages and services to maximize revenue opportunities.
- Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with marketing teams to promote events and drive attendance.
- Guest Services: Provide excellent guest services and ensure attendee satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in event management, marketing, public relations, hospitality, or a related field.
- Experience: Two years or more experience in event planning and coordination.
- Qualifications: Proven track record of organizing successful events, proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel, and a valid driver's license.
Compensation Package:
- Hourly Rate: $24 per hour.
- Performance-Based Incentive: A performance-based incentive is included in the compensation package.
- Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package, including health and life insurance and paid vacation leave.
