About Telos Health:
At Telos Health, we are pioneering advanced robotic-assisted technologies and interventional methods aimed at transforming the treatment landscape for ischemic stroke—a condition affecting nearly a million individuals annually in the U.S. and 10 million globally. Our mission is not only to enhance stroke treatment but also to extend these vital solutions to populations currently lacking access. We are assembling a dedicated team focused on creating groundbreaking solutions for this intricate medical challenge, as one in four adults will encounter this condition in their lifetime.

Key Responsibilities:
We seek a skilled and seasoned Robotics Software Engineer to architect and execute real-time algorithms, application logic, and state machines for our robotic platform. As a pivotal member of the Telos team, you will play a significant role in shaping the design and development of the software infrastructure that underpins our robotics application logic and algorithms. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team will be essential to implement and validate software solutions that meet clinical and user specifications.

  • Design, develop, and validate logic, state machines, and algorithms for our robotic systems.
  • Implement C++ real-time code on QNX and Linux operating systems.
  • Develop and test solutions in a production software environment utilizing C++ and Python.
  • Collaborate closely with fellow engineers (software, controls, systems, hardware) as part of a dedicated cross-functional team focused on medical software development.
  • Analyze user needs, clinical requirements, and customer feedback to guide software development.
  • Contribute to the creation of the software testing and simulation framework.
  • Engage in design discussions and conduct code reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 8 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Over 5 years of experience in controls, robotics, and state-machine design.
  • Proficient in C++ and Python programming languages.
  • Experience in robotic control and real-time state-machine architecture.
  • Strong foundation in object-oriented programming, software architecture, and design patterns.
  • Familiarity with multi-threaded applications and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience in algorithm development for robotic operations.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with real-time software applications.
  • Background in developing software for safety-critical systems.
  • Familiarity with ROS (Robot Operating System).
  • Experience with QNX operating systems.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.

Employee Benefits: We offer a competitive compensation package that includes stock options, a 401k plan, comprehensive health benefits, generous paid time off, and a parental leave program.

Salary Range: $187,000 – 207,000 annually. Please note that this salary range is a general guideline and may vary based on factors such as position responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and market considerations.
