In this role, you will:

  • Welcome and assist customers in finding and selecting deli products.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Prepare, slice, and package deli items according to established quality standards.
  • Manage multiple orders while upholding high service and quality standards.
  • Support the deli service counter operations.
  • Maintain the highest product quality to align with our department goals.
  • Meet productivity benchmarks as set by management.
  • Enhance your knowledge of various deli products.
  • Conduct cleaning tasks in accordance with company policies.
  • Assist in training new team members and undertake additional duties as needed.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in deli, restaurant, or food service environments is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Willingness to learn various tasks and technical aspects of the role.
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Compliance with minimum age requirements.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Completion of Deli Service Case Associate training is preferred.

Physical Demands:

Physical requirements for this position include:

  • Frequent lifting of up to 15 lbs and occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.
  • Reaching and lifting overhead as needed.
  • Regular pushing and pulling of weights between 3-15 lbs and up to 40 lbs occasionally.
  • Engaging in repetitive hand and arm motions while standing or walking for the majority of the shift.
  • Meeting established volume activity standards for the department.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting of items at or above waist level.
  • Using hands for various tasks, including operating controls and preparing food.
  • Ability to handle cleaning materials, packaging, and food products.
  • Tolerance for working in varying temperatures for short periods.
