Key Responsibilities
  • Perform CT scans with precision and accuracy, ensuring the highest level of customer service and image quality.
  • Prepare procedure trays with the necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Take patient history and retrieve any necessary orders or prior images.
  • Provide patient history and symptoms to the radiologist as needed.
  • Complete documentation accurately and efficiently.
  • Coordinate patient flow and ensure all exams are completed in a timely manner.
  • Support ALARA principles and promote radiation safety.
  • Inform patients about procedures and answer questions in a clear and concise manner.
  • Interact and communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and family members.
  • Start IVs for contrast administration and use the power injector as needed.
  • Contribute to after-hour coverage through on-call shift rotations.
  • Maintain all licenses, certifications, and accreditations required for the position.
  • Perform daily upkeep of departmental work areas, including cleaning and stocking.
  • Promote customer service initiatives and adhere to the ICARE values.
  • Support and participate in quality and performance improvement plans.
  • Comply with quarterly targeted metrics and demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, and care of patients.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.
  • Current ARRT certification with advanced registry, or registry eligible with advanced CT certification within 1 year of hire or within 6 months of eligibility.
  • 1 year post-graduate experience preferred.
  • BLS certification required.
