Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and Diagnose Electrical Issues: Analyze product operational characteristics, perform tests, and identify root causes of problems.
- Process and Rework Product Returns: Inspect, repair, and refurbish returned electrical equipment to meet factory specifications.
- Recondition Electrical Units: Restore electrical equipment to like-new condition, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Scrap, Dismantle, and Recycle Electrical Components: Safely dispose of non-repairable electrical components and materials.
- Test Electrical Products: Use A/C testers and functional test standard procedures to ensure electrical equipment meets specifications.
- Perform Repair Unit Check-in: Receive and process electrical equipment in the JD Edwards system, ensuring accurate inventory management.
- Read and Interpret Maintenance Manuals: Stay up-to-date with manufacturer specifications, service bulletins, and technical documentation.
- Replace or Repair Electrical Components: Use hand tools, brazing torches, gauges, and testing equipment to repair or replace worn or damaged electrical components.
- Requisition Parts: Use work order pick lists and material requisition processes to obtain necessary electrical components.
- Coordinate Work Orders: Manage time and material allocations to ensure accurate and timely completion of electrical repair tasks.
- Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Work Experience: 1+ years of experience as an HVAC service technician or mechanic, or equivalent training
- Skills: Basic refrigeration and electrical training, knowledge of computer software and systems (Microsoft Office, JDE, etc.), and ability to navigate complex machines and tools
- Personal Qualities: Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and excellent communication skills
