Occupational Therapist Job Summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in West Hatfield, Massachusetts. As an Occupational Therapist on the Behavioral Health Unit, you will be responsible for coordinating, planning, and delivering quality occupational therapy services to inpatients on Cooley Dickinson's West 5 unit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and plan occupational therapy services for inpatients on the Behavioral Health Unit
  • Deliver quality occupational therapy services to meet the needs of patients
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Provide education and training to patients and families on occupational therapy techniques and strategies
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop treatment plans
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school
  • Licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • De-escalation training within 90 days from hire, as well as ongoing re-training as required
  • Occupational therapy experience in a mental health setting, including the ability to facilitate groups
