Advanced Electro-Mechanical Technician

Position Summary:
The Advanced Electro-Mechanical Technician is tasked with overseeing daily troubleshooting and executing preventative and predictive maintenance protocols. This role encompasses responsibilities related to material handling systems across various equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including tasks such as belt alignment, component adjustments, and lubrication.
- Execute preventative maintenance schedules, ensuring thorough documentation and adherence to established procedures.
- Utilize electrical testing tools to diagnose and rectify electrical circuit issues.
- Generate and finalize work orders within the asset management system, accurately recording labor hours, maintenance activities, and parts utilized.
- Identify and troubleshoot moderately complex issues, understanding the necessary resources for resolution.
- Manage inventory by locating and tracking spare parts.
- Perform routine maintenance and testing of equipment to verify compliance with specifications.
- Respond to service requests and address equipment malfunctions effectively.
- Recognize problems as they arise and implement appropriate solutions.
- Foster and maintain positive working relationships across various organizational levels.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate degree or vocational training is preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge in a technical or specialized field.
- Proven experience in relevant responsibilities and successful execution of key duties as outlined.
- Ability to lift and transport materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Regular physical activities including bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching.
- Occasional movement of wheeled dollies loaded with products weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Functional dexterity in both hands and wrists is essential.
- Capability to safely climb ladders and navigate gangways.
- Working conditions may involve exposure to confined spaces, dust, odors, temperature variations, noise, vibration, and prolonged standing on concrete surfaces.
- Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods, up to 10–12 hours.
- Flexibility to cover various shifts and holiday hours as necessary.
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting.
- Experience in developing Preventive Maintenance Plans.
- Expertise in heavy equipment repair.
- Strong capabilities in equipment troubleshooting.
- Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting industrial automation systems.
- Experience in PLC programming and wiring.
Technologies Utilized:
- Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) such as Allen Bradley and Siemens.
- Conveyor Systems, specifically Dematic models.
Compensation:
$30 - $33.50 per hour
