Position Overview: Manufacturing Associate - Assembler (3rd Shift)

The Manufacturing Associate - Assembler is responsible for executing all assembly tasks related to various customer applications during the 3rd shift hours, which are from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct electrical connections for electrical, electro/mechanical, and electronic assemblies.
  2. Insert, wind, and connect coils, transformers, armatures, exciters, inductance coils, rotors, and stators as required.
  3. Construct electrical harness assemblies and other controller types.
  4. Assemble and disassemble electrical components as necessary.
  5. Review and adhere to routers, procedures, specifications, and other instructions to ensure completeness of operations.
  6. Perform mechanical measurements utilizing scales, calipers, and gauges.
  7. Employ pneumatic and hand tools to accomplish assembly tasks, ensuring completion with nuts, bolts, and screws.
  8. Solder and braze assemblies, sub-assemblies, and components as required.
  9. Execute potting, coating, and cleaning of all components.
  10. Maintain cleanliness of all machinery, tools, and work areas.
  11. Apply basic mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of fractions, decimals, and whole numbers.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 25 pounds repetitively and occasionally up to 35 pounds without assistance.
  • Adhere to all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to work in a moderately noisy environment and handle dust, fumes, or smoke within permissible exposure levels.

Desired Skills:

  • At least one year of experience in assembly, preferably in electronic assembly.
  • One year of experience in manufacturing or mechanical roles.
  • Proficiency in performing mechanical measurements with scales, calipers, and gauges.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow written instructions, procedures, and specifications.
  • Experience in soldering and brazing techniques.
  • Familiarity with pneumatic tools and hand tools (e.g., pliers, wrenches, hammers).
  • Experience in light machining tasks, including drilling and lead cutting.
  • Strong attention to detail and understanding of production processes.
  • Manual dexterity to perform assembly tasks efficiently and safely.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining excellent attendance and punctuality.
