OBJECTIVE
The primary objective of this role is to operate and utilize manufacturing equipment and tools while adhering to established processes and procedures to produce high-quality products efficiently and safely.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities outlined below are representative of the essential functions of this position, but are not exhaustive:
- Assist in the assembly and fabrication of filtration products according to specifications.
- Conduct quality inspections in alignment with established quality standards and procedures.
- Complete necessary documentation and paperwork accurately.
- Engage in packaging activities including sealing, sleeving, and boxing products.
- Follow instructions and perform tasks as directed by supervisors and team leads.
- Meet production targets and maintain a pace consistent with machine operators.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the product line within the Industrial Process Filtration Division.
- Implement the 5S methodology to maintain workplace organization.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT
The following tools may be utilized in this role:
- Scissors
- Sandpaper
- Staple gun
- Sealing gun
- Tape measure (standard & metric)
- Box cutter
- Pallet jack
- Pneumatic scissors
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
The qualifications necessary for this role include:
- Entry-level position with on-the-job training provided.
- Preferred experience of three to six months in a production assembly environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting documents such as work instructions and safety protocols.
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations.
- Capability to read a standard tape measure.
- Problem-solving skills to address practical challenges.
- Ability to follow a variety of instructions in different formats.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A High School Diploma or GED is required, along with relevant experience or training.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands of this position include:
- Standing for extended periods.
- Bending, stooping, walking, kneeling, crouching, carrying, and climbing.
- Using hands and arms for various tasks.
- Communicating effectively.
- Lifting and moving items weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Working from elevated platforms and ladders.
- Maintaining specific vision capabilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role involves exposure to moving mechanical parts and may include occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals. The work environment may have moderate to high noise levels.
