At Parker Hannifin Corporation, we are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for operating and using manufacturing equipment and tools to safely, efficiently, and expeditiously produce a quality product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the assembly and/or fabrication of Elements products per specifications.
  • Perform quality checks in accordance with quality standards and procedures.
  • Complete necessary documentation and paperwork.
  • Follow directions and perform tasks as assigned by Lead and Supervisors.
  • Achieve production rates and work at a speed commensurate to that of machine operators.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Acquire a working knowledge of IPF Division's product line.
  • Follow the 5S system.

Requirements:

  • Three to six months in a production assembly environment, preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as work instructions, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to read a standard tape measure.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma and/or GED.
  • Related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:

  • Stand for long periods.
  • Bend, stoop, walk, kneel, crouch, carry, and climb.
  • Use hands and/or arms to finger, handle, feel, and reach.
  • Talk and hear.
  • Frequently lift and/or move 1 to 20 pounds, and occasionally up to 40 pounds.
  • Work from elevated platforms and/or ladders.
  • Use specific vision faculties which include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.
  • Duties may be performed in non-controlled temperature environments and in an area of moderate to high noise levels.

Safety:

  • Adhere to all Safety guidelines.
  • Immediately report all safety issues including injuries, unsafe conditions, unsafe acts, and near miss situations.
  • Review PPE Hazard Assessment Certification Form for safety requirements.
