Associated Packaging Incorporated is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Branch Operations Manager. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the accuracy, timeliness, and processing of daily customer orders with the customer service team in support of the sales team.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure proper replenishment based on forecasts and historical levels.
  • Review and approve daily purchase orders for accuracy.
  • Ensure accurate order fulfillment and shipping while coordinating with the warehouse manager and warehouse staff.
  • Recruit, screen, and hire new employees, as well as conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and development opportunities.
  • Analyze and optimize office operations and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Oversee and reconcile inventory counts on a quarterly basis and at year-end, tracing history to determine reasons for discrepancies.
  • Review and analyze financial statements, inventory turns, accounts receivable reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
  • Approve all payables and operating expenses incurred by the branch.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of employees.
  • Determine and plan workloads for each employee, as well as schedule regular meetings to discuss employee issues, concerns, and problems.
  • Collaborate with vendors to implement new rebates, price supports, and extend renewals.
  • Travel with sales representatives to meet with customers as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in office management, preferably in a sales-driven industry.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills, with a customer-service-driven focus.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of relevant software applications, including Microsoft Office 365 products.
  • Experience with budgeting practices and analysis of budgets.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities under tight deadlines to ensure maximum productivity.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships within the office.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and train associates on documented processes.
  • Adept at working on multiple concurrent tasks with little supervision.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
