Job Summary

The Greenville County Commission On Alcohol & Drug Abuse is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Addiction Therapist to join our team. As an Addiction Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to individuals struggling with substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive intakes and assessments to identify client needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide crisis intervention services and support clients in achieving their recovery goals.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with external agencies and community partners.
  • Train and supervise assigned counselors to ensure high-quality care and adherence to agency guidelines.
  • Participate in weekly treatment staffing and contribute to the development of treatment plans and policies.
  • Prepare and present reports and evaluations to stakeholders, including clients, families, and community partners.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a human services field from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of the ADC process within 3 years of hire.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
