Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing project scope, fees for services, and negotiating contracts with clients;
  • Managing project budgeting, scheduling, and client communication;
  • Mentoring and leading the water/wastewater team;
  • Designing and managing linear and water/wastewater projects;
  • Interfacing with clients regularly to ensure satisfaction and identify business opportunities;

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Senior Project Manager in client relationship management, project budgeting, scheduling, and technical performance;
  • Exceed client expectations through effective communication and timely information exchange;
  • Participate in conferences, presentations, and seek leadership roles;
  • Improve document delivery, provide feedback, and mentor team members;
  • Ensure timely document delivery and manage resources efficiently;
  • Identify and pursue new work opportunities, support proposal preparation;
  • Responsible for project scope, contract negotiation, budgeting, scheduling, and client communication in Water/Wastewater projects;
  • Mentor and lead water/wastewater team, manage projects, and interface with clients;
  • Deliver profitable projects, maintain schedules and budgets, promote open communication, and utilize technology;
  • Develop staff through training and project reviews;
  • Take responsibility for personal development, project status reporting, problem resolution, and personnel issues;
  • Serve on Committees and Teams as requested;
  • Participate in special projects and assigned duties;
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire;
  • 5 years of experience with technical design of municipal water/wastewater projects;
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D experience required;
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field, and a minimum of 6 years of experience with technical design of municipal water/wastewater projects;
