Position Summary
The Senior Product Owner is responsible for articulating a comprehensive vision for the product under development. This role involves crafting well-defined user stories, prioritizing the product backlog, and establishing a clear timeline for product delivery. The Senior Product Owner ensures the technical integrity and quality of the features and components the team manages. This position emphasizes the user experience, identifying needs and features that shape a roadmap to realize the product vision. Building and nurturing relationships is crucial, allowing the Senior Product Owner to serve as the representative for customer interests. The role requires the ability to influence and navigate organizational challenges.
This role operates in a hybrid capacity, balancing remote work with attendance at the Oakland General Office as business needs dictate.
Compensation Information
PG&E is committed to providing a salary range that reflects the company's good faith belief regarding compensation for this position at the time of posting. This range is specific to the job's locality. Actual salaries will be determined based on various factors, including specific skills, education, certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. While we anticipate that the successful candidate will be placed between the entry point and the midpoint of the range, decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis considering these factors. This position is also eligible for participation in PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.
Salary Range:
Bay Area Minimum: $114,000
Bay Area Maximum: $182,000
Key Responsibilities
- Identify the target customer demographic, their preferred communication methods, and potential response metrics.
- Lead moderately complex projects with medium to high priority within the organization.
- Serve as the primary liaison among various departments, stakeholders, and business units.
- Develop implementation strategies and assemble teams to roll out new technologies.
- Create new tools, resources, and communications to enhance processes.
- Assess new products and equipment, staying informed about market developments.
- Develop new moderately complex products.
- Provide product feedback and customer insights to inform product development.
- Collaborate with product teams to offer feedback on existing products and propose potential new products for future initiatives.
- Analyze work plans and schedules to reallocate resources or adjust program priorities.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Three years of relevant job experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- Three years of experience as a Product Owner in an Agile environment.
- Agile Certification.
