About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Media Manager to join our team at AEG. As a key member of our marketing department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive social media strategy that enhances our brand presence, engagement, and storytelling across platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Content Creation: Develop, curate, and manage engaging content daily across all our social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
  • Community Engagement: Actively engage with our fans, respond to comments and messages, and manage our online community to foster a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Campaign Development: Design and execute social media campaigns around matches, special events, player storytelling, community initiatives, and other promotional opportunities.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor, track, and report on social media performance metrics, using data to refine strategies and improve engagement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, PR, and creative teams to align social media content with our brand voice and style guidelines, overall marketing campaigns, and company initiatives.
  • Brand Protection: Maintain, enhance, and protect our brand voice and image across all social media channels.
  • Event Coverage: Provide real-time social media coverage during matches, training, and events, ensuring timely and exciting updates.
  • Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices, ensuring we remain at the forefront of digital innovation and storytelling.
  • Partnerships: Generate creative concepts and strategic solutions for partners and business units that are aligned with our brand standards based on trends, research, and best practices across social channels.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Support the Digital Marketing Director and Social Director with weekly metric tracking and content performance assessment.
  • Relationship Building: Assist with cultivating high-profile relationships to create authentic storytelling collaborations.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience (or equivalent) in social media content management, preferably in the sports industry.
  • Skills: Working knowledge of major social media platforms, best practices, and analytics tools. Experience with producing social and vertical video content on social media platforms such as TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Stories, and Snapchat. Proficiency with the MS Office Suite, graphic design, and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Slate).
  • Language: Bilingual Spanish/English language communication skills (written and verbal) preferred.
