Michaels Stores is seeking a Seasonal Evening Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences, ensuring a fast and friendly checkout process, and maintaining a well-merchandised and in-stock store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure a fast and friendly checkout experience, executing cash handling to standards and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.
  • Engage customers on the benefits of our Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, and complete enrollments as needed.
  • Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey and encourage feedback.
  • Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
  • Participate in the truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes, maintaining a well-merchandised and in-stock store.
  • Responsible for completing merchandise recovery and maintenance, including the merchandise return / go back process and general store recovery.
  • Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
  • Support shrink and safety programs, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs.
  • Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner, remaining positive and respectful, even in difficult situations.
  • Cross-trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
Requirements
  • Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
  • Ability to move throughout the store.
  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
  • Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
Work Environment

Public retail store setting, taking care of our customers. All public areas are climate-controlled, with some stock rooms not being climate-controlled. Some outdoor work may be assigned to retrieve shopping carts or while unloading trucks. The Frame shop contains glass cutters and heat presses. Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
