Position Summary:

Cyclotron, Inc. is seeking a knowledgeable Azure Architect with extensive experience in cloud technologies. The successful candidate will have a robust understanding of Azure services and will be tasked with the design, execution, and oversight of cloud solutions tailored to our clients' needs. This role demands a blend of technical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to ensuring client satisfaction.

Key Duties:

  • Architect and deploy Azure cloud solutions that are efficient, secure, and economically viable.
  • Draft functional design documents, Azure reference architectures, and various project outputs.
  • Advise on cloud migration strategies and create technical roadmaps for Azure integration.
  • Guide and support a team of architects and engineers in the deployment of Azure solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with diverse teams to capture business needs and convert them into technical solutions.
  • Remain informed about the latest advancements in Azure and other cloud platforms.
  • Engage in pre-sales efforts, including defining technical requirements and crafting solutions for potential clients.
  • Conduct Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and demonstrations to highlight Azure capabilities.
  • Ensure all cloud solutions adhere to security protocols and best practices.

Azure Application Development Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement applications on Azure using services like Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
  • Adopt microservices architecture utilizing Azure Service Fabric or Kubernetes.
  • Employ Azure DevOps for continuous integration and delivery, source control, and release management.
  • Create and manage APIs through Azure API Management and Azure Logic Apps.
  • Implement monitoring and logging solutions using Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
  • Integrate Azure Identity and Access Management, including Azure Active Directory and role-based access control (RBAC).
  • Enhance application performance and scalability with Azure Redis Cache, Azure CDN, and Azure Front Door.
  • Utilize Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, and other Azure data services for application data management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in developing and implementing Azure solutions.
  • Preferred: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent certifications.
  • Proficient in infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates).
  • Strong grasp of cloud security principles and best practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD methodologies and tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
  • Knowledge of Azure networking, virtual networks, and VPN setups.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to resolve complex cloud-related issues.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in developing and managing hybrid cloud environments and cloud migration initiatives.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with other cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
  • Experience with data migration tools such as AppZero or Azure Site Recovery (ASR).
  • Understanding of agile methodologies and project management frameworks like ITIL or TOGAF.
