Job Summary

As a Caliber Collision team member, you will be responsible for repairing or replacing cracked, chipped, or damaged automotive glass. Our technicians are the backbone of our business, and we are seeking skilled individuals to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Repair or replace automotive glass by following quality standards and company procedures.
  • Perform repairs on damaged glass, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Complete pre and post inspections with customers, ensuring their satisfaction and safety.
  • Utilize various tools and scanning equipment to diagnose and repair glass-related issues.
  • Document repair orders on mobile devices, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
  • Check in parts and communicate needs with urgency, ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Remove and install trim panels and interior parts without damaging, demonstrating attention to detail and care.
  • Effectively prioritize and manage time to complete assigned daily tasks, meeting productivity and quality standards.
  • Work in a mobile environment, based out of a company-provided vehicle, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Ensure all equipment, materials, and areas of operation are in safe working order, adhering to company safety protocols.
  • Perform a final inspection with customers, obtaining their signature on all paperwork as necessary.
  • Complete all administrative duties and payment collection upon completion of job, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Accountable for assigned inventory, including vehicles, mobile devices, tools, and other equipment provided.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the automotive glass industry.
  • Knowledge of glass installation and replacement practices, including quality standards and company procedures.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction and safety.
  • Knowledge and ability to use computers, mobile devices, and related technology efficiently, with a focus on accuracy and productivity.
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude, with a customer-focused vision and a commitment to excellence.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Must be able to lift 60 pounds independently.
  • Travel may be required for continuing education and certification training.
  • Requires standing for extended periods, frequent stretching, reaching, walking, and stooping.
  • Requires frequent driving of company and customer vehicles.
  • Extensive travel within assigned areas is expected.
  • May have exposure to fumes, dust, and chemicals.
  • Ability to work in a shop or mobile environment during inclement weather.
  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including facial covering, eye protection, and gloves.
