Job Summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team in Barnegat, NJ. As a key member of our Radiology and Imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to nuclear medicine procedures, including receiving and handling radioactive materials, calibrating equipment, and assisting physicians with imaging procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures, including administering radioactive materials and operating imaging equipment
  • Calibrate and maintain equipment to ensure accurate and safe imaging results
  • Assist physicians with imaging procedures and provide technical support as needed
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies related to radiation safety and handling
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advances in nuclear medicine technology and procedures
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
  • Current NJ State license, ARRT, and/or NMTCB certification
  • BLS certification
  • 2+ years of experience as a staff technologist in a hospital setting
  • PET experience a plus
