Job Summary

This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental laws and regulations, as well as developing and implementing environmental policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience in program management, environmental policy, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
  • Conduct environmental assessments and analyses to identify potential environmental impacts.
  • Prepare and present complex reports and presentations to senior officials and stakeholders.
  • Manage and coordinate with external stakeholders, including community groups, state and local governments, and other federal agencies.
  • Identify and secure resources to implement environmental compliance and policy initiatives.
Requirements
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Males born after must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
  • Total salary varies depending on location of position.
  • May be required to successfully complete a probationary/trial period.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Required to participate in the direct deposit program.
  • This position is subject to pre-employment and random drug testing.
  • This position requires you to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • This position may require up to 50% occasional travel away from your normal duty station for official business on military or commercial aircraft.
  • The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays and/or mandatory overtime.
  • This position requires incumbent to file an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and annually thereafter.
Qualifications
  • This position meets Public Law, Program Management Improvement Accountability Act (PMIAA), dated Dec 14, 2016, Defense Civilian Personnel Advisory Service (DCPAS), message number, dated Feb 26, 2024, and OPM Memo for Chief Human Capital Officers, dated Aug 2, 2023, for Program Manager, Code 1.
