Job Overview
The City of Arlington seeks a skilled Grants Coordinator to manage the Police Grants Program. This role will oversee the planning, administration, and operation of the program, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and City policies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage comprehensive grant programs, including Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) and COPS Office grants.
2. Coordinate project management and contract administration for grant-funded projects.
3. Develop and implement grant applications and project implementation plans with multiple City departments and outside organizations.
4. Oversee planning functions related to key criminal justice data sets, adhering to federal regulations and City policy.
5. Develop staff reports, resolutions, and presentations for City Council and Committees.
6. Interpret and follow federal grant regulations and grant-specific regulations.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Planning, Criminal Justice, Social Work, or a related field, plus one year of supervisory experience. Master's degree preferred. Must complete required pre-employment screenings, including a criminal history check.
